PACOFS Council appoints Acting Chief Executive Officer
Bloemfontein, South Africa – 19 April 2021. The Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (PACOFS) hereby announces the interim appointment of Ms Sharon Snell as the Acting Chief Executive Officer. Ms Snell is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the National Museum in Bloemfontein and holds a Masters Degree in Law. She is vastly skilled in strategy, governance, risk and compliance.
“The provisional appointment of Ms Snell is a strategic measure to enable Council the opportunity to facilitate stability at PACOFS by ensuring the institution’s business continuity whilst attaining sound corporate governance. She joins the institution with a wealth of knowledge in the creative and cultural industries. Council is confident that she will lead the administration well,” explained Council Chairperson, Advocate Thato Moeeng.
The Council would like to take this opportunity to assure the public that its decisions are guided by the mandate prescribed in the PACOFS Council Charter as well as by regular consultations with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture. As such, Council looks forward to supporting and collaborating with Ms Snell to move the institution forward.
