This contemporary dance work is a gentle and often intimate look at human relationships that journey back to their origin. It is a questioning and deconstruction of societal ‘truth’ that often get in the way of love and tenderness. Imvelo deals with cultural, social and political conflicts around connection, power, pain and truth. It is a work that display the messy realities of human relationships, and how one can often speak, but not listen. The choreographic choices would be to explore the value of actions over words.
