PACOFS Announces New School Partnership Programme

Bloemfontein, November 2025 – The Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (PACOFS) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership initiative with schools in the Free State, designed to foster artistic growth, strengthen community engagement, and provide learners with access to professional theatre experiences.

As part of PACOFS’ commitment to arts education and audience development, participating schools will have the opportunity to present their annual productions on PACOFS stages under a unique 50/50 profit-sharing model. This collaboration ensures that schools benefit financially while giving learners invaluable exposure to the world of professional theatre.

Benefits for Schools include:

  • A professional theatre environment for their annual productions.
  • Access to PACOFS technical staff, facilities, and costumes.
  • Increased visibility beyond the school community.
  • Revenue generation to support arts and cultural programmes.

What Schools Provide:

  • The production (cast, direction, rehearsals, costumes).
  • Full Marketing  within the school community.
  • Sale of a minimum of 572 tickets (Sand du Plessis Theatre) or 180 tickets (Andre Huguenet Theatre).

Programme Timeline:

  • October – December 2025: Partnership sign-ups and agreement signing.
  • 2026: First round of productions presented at PACOFS theatres.
