Following the vacancy of the CEO for 23 months, the Council of the Performing Arts of Free State (PACOFS) is elated to announce its securing of a seasoned professional to steer the organisation henceforth. PACOFS is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Themba Dlamini as the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from 1 November 2022. Mr Dlamini has been appointed on a five-year performance based contract.
An experienced leader and decorated strategist, Mr Dlamini has held numerous senior positions across various industries. His impressive accolades include holding positions such as: CEO at the Office of the Public Protector of South Africa, Managing Director of the Black Management Forum, CEO of the National Gambling Board, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) and the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA).
Boasting a Master’s Degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts (USA) and a BA Honours Degree in Economics from Howard University in Washington DC (USA), Mr Dlamini also has Board experience which includes serving as Board Member of the National Library of South Africa, Northwest Development Corporation, National Heritage Council and the National Planning Commission.
