The fast-paced standup comedy show, is hosted by Thapelo Tips Seemise, also known as Shampoonaiza, ‘Seen mostly on SABC 1 sports show ‘SPORT AT 10. He is recognized as South Africa’s sole sports comedian and dance choreographer. Collaborating with an array of talented South African comedians from various ethnic backgrounds, the show also creates a space for emerging comedians from within the theatre province. With a focus on mental health themes interwoven in the humor, the lineup delivers continuous laughter as comedians take to the stage one after another, accompanied by the host and the DJ.
SHAMPOONAIZA offers a deep dive into his comedic talent with an UP CLOSE & PERSONAL experience, featuring an array of side-splitting comedians, including Smokey Nyembe from Soweto. He is a nominee for the Savanna comic choice award in the non-English category. This is a comedian you won’t want to miss, as he approaches his craft with great dedication. Also joining the lineup is Mbali Gudadi Gudazi, a dynamic female comedian and a COMICS CHOICE NOMINEE hailing from KZN, as well as Tumelo Mohlakoane, known as Coldfire, from Botshabelo, who will be adding to the entertainment. Audiences can count on an evening filled with enjoyment and laughter; it promises to be a night to cherish.
The performance is set to take place at the Andre Huguenet Theatre on March 22, 2025, at 6:30 PM, and tickets can be purchased across the country through Webtickets at Pick N Pay stores, priced at R100.
